Virginia MT State Requirements

24 hours of CE due biennially – Virginia accepts 24 hours of OnlineCE.com courses

  • 1 hour of Ethics

Occupational Therapist

Virginia OT State Requirements

20 hours of CE due on the last day of their birth month every even-numbered year – Virginia accepts 20 hours of OnlineCE.com courses

 

Special Requirements

Type I vs Type II CE

  • Type 1 hours (at least 10 each biennium) are those activities offered by a sponsor or organization recognized by the profession and may include in-service training, self-study courses, specialty certification or professional workshops. All 20 continued competency hours each biennium may be Type 1 hours. OnlineCE is Type I CE
  • Type 2 hours (no more than 10 each biennium) are those activities, which may include consultation with another therapist, independent reading or research, preparation for a presentation, fieldwork with students, or other such experiences, which promote continued learning
  • Virginia Automatically accepts courses from AOTA Approved Providers

Virginia OTA State Requirements

20 hours of CE due biennially – Virginia accepts 20 hours of OnlineCE.com courses

Physical Therapist

Virginia PT State Requirements

Special Requirements

  • A minimum of 15 of the hours required for physical therapists shall be in Type 1 courses.
  • OnlineCE courses are considered Type I CE as they provided by TX PT CE Approved Provider
