Course Description: Therapeutic Modalities 210 is designed for the clinician working with laser and lights and ultraviolet therapy. This lesson introduces the application of electromagnetic radiation in rehabilitation and provides specific information about the therapeutic use of lasers and light therapy. This lesson will review important terminology along with the physiological effects of using light and lasers. Clinical indications as well as contraindications and precautions will be covered. Application techniques including parameters of use, and dose-response assessment will also be reviewed. Critical information to be included in notes will be illustrated in documentation examples and clinical case studies will be used to highlight clinical application.
