An Overview of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a 1-hour course designed for the beginning and intermediate clinician working with patients with carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). This course provides an in-depth overview of carpal tunnel syndrome including anatomy, clinical and differential diagnosis, common signs and symptoms of CTS and treatment options. Conservative and surgical treatment methods are reviewed and include interventions such as splinting, tendon gliding exercises, patient education and more. Function of respiration is a 2-hour seminar which continues with the anatomical makeup of the thorax that was initiated in Breathing Essentials 201. Detailed descriptions of the muscular component of the thorax including function of these muscles will be discussed. Correct breathing mechanics and the physiology of respiration will be covered. Adverse physiology will be introduced. This thread will be continued with in Breathing Essentials 203: Altered Breathing Patterns and Their Consequences. The importance of the diaphragm and its numerous functions will be presented. Discussion of Differential Diagnosis of the Thoracic spine will also be discussed. The videos for the Respiration Labs will present breathing observations, a review of rib biomechanics, a patient video, chest expansion measurement, breathing techniques, and numerous breathing exercises will be presented.

This course is divided into two parts. The first part incorporates a case study and introduces the significance of the lateral epicondyle (LE) and the common extensor tendon and covers caustic factors, movements and activities that put someone at risk for LE, pathophysiology, interventions, pre- and post-operative protocols, and discusses the efficacy of elbow surgery and the efficacy of treatment techniques. Part 2 focuses on the joints that make up the elbow and forces that stabilize it; the boundaries of the cubital tunnel and the route of ulnar nerve as it travels around the elbow; phases involved in throwing, conditions that produce medial-sided elbow pain, and considerations related to differential diagnoses.

Complete Decongestive Therapy: The Gold Standard for Lymphedema is a course for therapists looking to become familiar with the treatment protocol utilized by therapists for lymphedema. The course gives an overview on lymphedema with the different types and stages described. It then details the 4 major components of complete decongestive therapy: meticulous skin care, manual lymph drainage, multi-layered compression bandaging, and remedial exercise. Indications and contraindications to treatment are reviewed. Recent research is reviewed and a case study is provided to close up the course. This is a 1-hour, audiovisual formatted course designed for the clinician interested in learning more about patella tendon repair and protocols for rehabilitation. This course will begin with a review of pertinent anatomy and biomechanics of the knee. Diagnostic techniques and concomitant injuries will also be presented. Following this review, the instructor will discuss and present the surgery and approach for repairing the damaged patella tendon. Rehabilitation techniques, phases of rehab and interventions including standard protocols and best practices will be presented.
